Griezmann signs new Atletico Madrid deal to end Manchester United transfer hopes

Antoine Griezmann has signed a new Atletico Madrid contract to end immediate speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The France international, 26, has extended his current contract at Atletico by an extra 12 months and, presumably, will see an increased salary to quell speculation he'll jump ship for Jose Mourinho's side this summer.
Griezmann has been strongly linked with an Old Trafford switch for months and in May he suggested there was a six out of 10 chance of joining the Europa League champions.
However, Atletico's transfer ban for the remainder of 2017 means they'd be unable to replace him this summer and it had looked increasingly likely that he'd remain at the Madrid club for at least another 12 months.
