The Ikon Allah Boys do not have a good record against the People's Elephants, but the defender is confident they can break the jinx
Sunday Akinmoladun believes Niger Tornadoes can pull a surprise against Enyimba in Calabar on Sunday.
Since 2011, The Ikon Allah Boys have enjoyed no success at the home of the People's Elephant; having lost all matches, registering just a goal.
"We have been enjoying a very good support from Niger Tornadoes management, they've always been there when we make a request and it's just ideal that we keep working hard to make them and the fans happy," Akinmoladun told Goal.
"I know that Enyimba is a big team and they have very good players in that squad but with the commitment of me and my teammates, I am confident that we can pull a surprise here in Calabar.
"We have been playing well since the second round started. We haven't done too well in terms of converting our chances but it's obvious that we have been getting better by the day.
"Hopefully we shall make good use of those chances that will come our way on Sunday against Enyimba."
