Transfer news: The latest rumours from Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and all the top teams

Goal takes a look at the biggest transfer stories from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and beyond ahead of the opening of the summer window
Bas Dost, Sporting Portugal, Primeira Liga, 04082017
The form of Bas Dost for Portuguese side Sporting CP has brought about a club-record bid for the Dutch striker from Newcastle, according to  Jornal de Notícias.
The Toon bosses were willing to splash a massive £35 million to bring in the striker in hopes he could continue his goal-scoring form in the Premier League, but the offer still falls well short of the player's £52m release clause.
Romelu Lukaku Everton
Chelsea have shown their determination to land Romelu Lukaku by matching Manchester United's blockbuster bid for the Everton striker, according to the  Telegraph
The Belgium international had appeared on the verge of moving to Old Trafford after a £75 million offer was accepted by the Toffees.
But the Blues will not give up, although they stop short of equalling the sizeable agent's fees United have offered to Lukaku's representative, Mino Raiola.
Alexis Sanchez Chile Confederations Cup
Alexis Sanchez has told Arsenal that he wants to make a summer move to Manchester City, Chilean outlet El Mercurio reports.
An agreement has been reached between Alexis and Pep Guardiola's side, with the latter having bid £46.5 million for the attacker's services.
The Gunners, however, are still reluctant to let their star player leave and risk losing him on a free transfer next season if they do not accept City's offer.
James Rodriguez Real Madrid
Manchester United are stepping up talks over a deal to bring Real Madrid playmaker James Rodriguez to Old Trafford, reports The Independent .
Though the Red Devils have ended their interest in one Real player – Alvaro Morata – the club remain keen on another, with James being lined up to replace the seemingly Everton-bound Wayne Rooney in their squad.
Madrid are keen to create room in their squad for Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe and value Colombia international James at €70 million.
Thomas Lemar Monaco
Arsenal have made an improved €45 million offer for Thomas Lemar, but Monaco are expected to reject the latest bid for the winger, reports L'Equipe .
A €40m bid from Arsenal has already been turned down by Monaco, while Lemar won’t look to force a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Manchester United, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid are all keeping an eye on Lemar’s situation as Arsenal consider making a third offer for the 21-year-old.
Riyad Mahrez Leicester Eric Dier Tottenham
Manchester United could be about to resurrect their interest in Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier, according to the  Daily Telegraph .
United's move for Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku has put their hopes of signing Nemanja Matic in doubt, and Dier is likely to be the alternative should it fall apart.
Alfie Mawson Swansea City
Tottenham have had an opening bid for Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson rejected by their Premier League rivals, according to the  Daily Telegraph .
The Swans value the England under-21 international at £30m, but Spurs could offer youngster Josh Onomah as part of a second offer.
Jasper Cillessen Barcelona La Liga
Crystal Palace are eyeing a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to  AS .
New Palace boss Frank De Boer worked with the Netherlands international during his time in charge of Ajax and feels he can be bought for less than his €60m release clause.
Nelson Semedo Benfica
Manchester United could wait until January to make a bid for Benfica right-back Nelson Semedo, according to Correio da Manha .
Benfica’s current asking price of £44million is putting United off and the Premier League club are hoping the fee will be lowered in the New Year.
Antonio Conte Chelsea head coach
Chelsea's failure to land their top transfer targets this summer has left Antonio Conte's position with the club in doubt, according to the Mirror .
With Romelu Lukaku looking set to join Manchester United, the club having failed to land Alexis Sanchez and Virgil van Dijk and stuggling to sign Alex Sandro and Tiemoue Bakayoko, the Italian's frustrations have grown.
The manager is now reportedly "fuming" at club officials for letting the Everton striker get away and facing a crisis up front ahead of the new season having seen his top target join a major rival.
Andre Gomes

Barcelona have rejected a €45 million offer for midfielder Andre Gomes and a €35m bid for utility player Sergi Roberto from unknown clubs, according to Mundo Deportivo .
The Catalunya club reportedly have complete faith in Gomes, despite a poor 2016-17, and are refusing to negotiate with anyone for La Masia product Roberto.
Joe Hart Torino
Aston Villa have made an approach to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to the  Birmingham Mail .
Villa boss Steve Bruce is hopeful he can tempt Hart to drop into the Championship after completing the signing of John Terry earlier in the week.
Hart, however, is weighing up his options in the belief that he will be offered a chance in the Premier League before the transfer window shuts.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Borussia Dortmund Champions League
Milan are turning Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to help fill the gap up front, with the club also looking at Nikola Kalinic, according to Gianluca Di Marzio .
The club would have to meet Borussia Dortmund's fee for the player and complete negotiations with the striker as well.
Paulinho
Despite having a bid already rejected for Paulinho by Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande, Barcelona are ready to make another offer, reports Cadena SER .
The club is ready to improve on its €20 million offer to bring in the 28-year-old, with the Spanish side's other midfield targets proving difficult.
Kylian Mbappe Monaco Champions League
Real Madrid have made fresh calls to Kylian Mbappe, having not given up their pursuit of the Monaco youngster, according to Marca .
While the Spanish side are still chasing, so are Arsenal and PSG, and it looks increasingly likely that the forward will return to training with Monaco before any decision.
Olivier Giroud Arsenal Premier League
Marseille are confident they can bring Olivier Giroud back to Ligue 1 from Arsenal, according to the Telegraph .
Giroud has spent five seasons in the Premier League since moving from Montpellier in 2012, and Marseille are hoping to beat West Ham, Everton and fellow French club Lyon to the signature of the €28 million (£25m) rated forward.
Philippe Coutinho Liverpool
PSG will turn to Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho if they fail to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco, according to Le10sport .
Mbappe could stay at Monaco for another season, leaving PSG to look elsewhere for their big summer signing. The Ligue 1 club are prepared to spend €80 million (£70m) to bring the Brazilian to Paris, but Liverpool are likely to hold out for €100m.
Kelechi Iheanacho Manchester City
Leicester City have beaten West Ham to the signature of Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to ESPNFC .
Iheanacho found it difficult to break into Pep Guardiola's team last season following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus, and looks set to leave the Etihad in a £25m deal. Leicester are now in advanced talks as they look to find a partner for Jamie Vardy up front.
Hector Bellerin Arsenal
Barcelona are ready to table a £26 million bid for Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, claims Spanish publication Sport .
The La Liga giants have been considering a move to bring the full-back back to his Catalan roots for some time and are now preparing to make a formal approach.
Alexis Sanchez Arsenal
Alexis Sanchez is demanding £400,000-a-week to stay at Arsenal, according to the Daily Mirror .
The Chilean forward has entered the final 12 months of his current contract and is locked in extension talks amid talk of interest from the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
Fabinho
Arsenal are being kept informed about any developments regarding the future of Monaco midfielder Fabinho, according to France Football .
Manchester United have been heavily linked with the versatile Brazilian, but the Gunners are also weighing up the merits of a move.
