Gombe United 'want to get better and better', says Oladapo

Gombe United
With few games to the end of the campaign, the Savannah Scorpions are second from bottom in the NPFL, but the striker is confident the squad will get better in the coming weeks
Austin Oladapo believes Gombe United can improve in the next few games as they look to retain their Nigeria Professional Football League status.
The Savannah Scorpions followed up three points in the game against Abia Warriors with a morale-boosting 1-1 draw away to Nasarawa United.
“It has changed the mood, the positivity is around the place, whilst we have the belief that we are good,” Oladapo told Goal.
“We are just beginning the job we have intended, though, what we have done in recent games is what we have wanted to do.
“The team is going from low to high, in a line of ascent and it is what we intend to continue. We should follow it because we want to go all the way and beat the drop.
“We played a complete game against Nasarawa United in Lafia, although we are demanding of ourselves and we still want to get better and better. Our improvement must be shown every match day.
“There are 11 more games to play in the league. We will need additional effort.
“At the moment it is a different mood at the club, we are working with the results from the past two games. The coach [Manu Garba] is the one demanding that we maintain this.”
Gombe United are 19th in the NPFL table with 31 points from 27 matches.
