Nasarawa United deserve more respect - Williams

The defender said the Solid Miners have not been showed the right amount appreciation they are entitled to, despite achieving decent feats
Jide Williams feels Nasarawa United deserve more respect for their accomplishments over the past few years.
The 2016 Federation Cup runner-up currently occupy the ninth spot in the Nigeria Professional Football League table and are only five points adrift the top three.
"Nasarawa United have been consistent on the domestic scene but some how we haven't been shown enough respect," Williams told Goal.
"We were on the continent two seasons back and we lost out of a continental spot after that loss to IfeanyiUbah in the 2016 Federation Cup final.
"This season, we are still working hard for a place on the continent. Unfortunately for us, we dropped points in our last game against Gombe United after failing to convert those numerous chances we created but that's gone. Now we are going to Umuahia to recover the lost point because we know the importance to find the right antidote to our mistakes.
"Even though we are working hard, we don't rely on just our physical strength alone, we want God to bless the work of our hand and make us achieve our target.
"The Federation Cup is a more difficult competition because it's a knockout format but because of our past experience, that competition also offers us an opportunity to make the continent.
"This weekend's target is to go to Umuahia [Abia Warriors] to recover the lost point, a win will be fantastic for us and a draw won't be bad as well."
